Taking inspiration

I read once that the brain is multi dimensional antenna for ideas. Out there somewhere is a dimension of pure idea which we tap into to retrieve inspiration and novel thought. If you can get your ego out of the way, the idea can come through in more of its original form.
Pretty cool, when it’s a dreary Monday and you’re not quite as stoned as you were when you first read that, you can find inspiration in other artist’s work. If you look beneath the form you can see the formless ideas/concepts they are trying describe. The formless can be described with symbols and how they are used.

I’ve included some images that inspired a recent sleeve design I made. I’ll include that too.

A samurai’s katana sword stuck in the ground with flowers growing around it. A coin purse stolen by an opportunist bird. From the Death of winter to the Birth of spring. This is my attempt to describe the formless patterns/ways of our universe/dimension/plane of reality. But it’s also just a cool sleeve. Each person looking at it can have their own perspective and viewpoint.

Thanks for reading,
